Avocado & Comfrey: The Bone Knitter Infusion
I slow infuse them together for 4 weeks to create a rich, deeply nourishing botanical oil.
Apothecary Notes:
Avocado oil was once nicknamed “green gold” because of its rich color and nutrient density.
Comfrey leaves have a naturally fuzzy texture, which makes the plant instantly recognizable once you begin working with it.
Not all infused oils are designed for general use like my signature 5-herb Jojoba oil.
Some are created with more targeted support in mind.
One of my favorite combinations is avocado oil infused with comfrey.
Avocado oil is rich, deeply moisturizing, and packed with beneficial fatty acids that help nourish dry or stressed skin.
Compared to lighter oils, it has a heavier, more restorative feel that works beautifully in intensive skin care.
Comfrey is famously known as “bone knitter” because of its long history of use in supporting repair and recovery.
Traditionally valued for wound care and skin restoration, it is one of the most respected herbs for deeply supportive topical care.
When slowly infused into avocado oil, it creates a rich, nourishing blend that feels especially comforting on dry, rough, or overworked skin.
Because comfrey is not intended for internal use, this infusion is crafted specifically for external skin care use only.
This specialized infusion is featured in my Nourish Restorative Body Melt, where it helps create the deeply restorative feel it is known for.
